Hotfix – Autodesk Design Review 2009 SP1
ADR_2009_SPHotfix.zip (zip – 4416Kb)
Readme (html – 7Kb)
This Hotfix addresses two issues:
- From within Design Review, the Save As command requires the open file to be saved as either a DWF or DWFx file. Externally, the SaveAs API does not have the same requirement, allowing files to be saved with any file extension resulting in a potential security issue.
- Rapidly switching between Design Review and other programs may result in an EModelViewer error message, causing Design Review to stop responding.

This hotfix addresses an issue where drawing dimensions, title block text, etc. are lost when publishing to DWF format.
Upgrading the FLEXlm® Network License Manager
You want information about installing or upgrading the FLEXlm® License Manager for Autodesk products.
Solution
The Autodesk family of products uses the FLEXlm® license manager to administer network licenses.
The version of the FLEXlm license manager required for the corresponding version of AutoCAD® is as follows:
- AutoCAD 2009 - Version 11.4.100.0
- AutoCAD 2008 - Version 11.4.0.0
- AutoCAD 2007 - Version 10.8.0
- AutoCAD 2006 - Version 10.1.5
- AutoCAD 2005 - Version 9.2.2
- AutoCAD 2004 - Version 8.3a
- AutoCAD 2002 - Version 7.1f
If you are using a version of FLEXlm that is lower than what was shipped with your product, you will need to upgrade to the correct version or higher to ensure compatibility with Autodesk products.
To determine which version of FLEXlm is installed, you will need to check the versions of these three files: lmgrd.exe, lmtools.exe, and adskflex.exe.
To check the version of lmgrd.exe or lmtools.exe
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to the license manager installation folder.
- Right-click the lmgrd.exe or lmtools.exe file. Click Properties.
- Click the Version tab to see the file version.
To check the version of adskflex.exe
- Use the LMTOOLS utility to perform a status inquiry (on the Server Status tab of LMTOOLS).
- Look for the version number next to the ADSKFLEX line.
Note: The new version of the FLEXlm license manager that ships with the Autodesk products is backwards compatible, and licenses will be administered as far back as AutoCAD 2002.
